The #EndSars movement has taken a different dimension.
The video below shows the events of October 26th 2020. The Youths ere chanting " No more Nigeria, We aret out to challenge anything fire to fire”.
In some of their comments, they said that our leaders don't know that Buhari is dead.
It wasn't clear from the video if all the protesters were all IPOB members. One thing that is sure is that the youths are tired of the leadership at all levels in Nigeria.
The following were observed in this video:
- The police station at Abakiliki was burnt
- Gunshots were fired
- The security agents were seen running away from the protesters
- Detainees on the police custody were released
The protests in that video was an aftermath of the brutal killings of unarmed protesters during a peaceful protest at Lekki Lagos Nigeria on Tuesday October 21st 2020 widely described as "The black Tuesday".
The Nigerian government is yet to apologize to the families of the victims. The resentment escalated when the governor or Lagos state went on air to declare that " Nobody was killed in the protest".
The protest has now moved from the initial 5 or 7 point request to #EndNigeria
